Sisterspace And Books Presents 2nd Conference
Sisterspace and Books and The African American Women's Resource Center, Inc. present "The 2nd African American Women Writers and Readers Conference" on April 27 - 29, 2001 at The University of the District of Columbia, Performing Arts Center (4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW Washington, DC). While plans are in full swing for another powerful event, volunteers are needed to ensure its success. No prior experience needed as your talents and creativity can be used in all areas.

The conference will provide an interactive forum where aspiring writers and poets, book club members and avid readers, will gather with bestselling authors and publishing industry professionals, to celebrate the richness of African-American women's literature. Some of the nation's most acclaimed authors and veteran publishing executives (agents, publicists, editors) will join emerging writers, poets and book lovers to network, exchange ideas and share their literary expertise during an array of panels, writing workshops, and special events.
